Free Easter Events
Saturday March 31, 2012

Easter Celebration at Southern Calvert Baptist Church in Lusby, MD.   Activities include the Resurrection Story, egg races, bowling and much more. Prizes for the best decorated Easter egg and fun giveaways.  2- 4 p.m.  

 Family Fun Day at the Farm, Serenity Farms, Benedict, MD
Activities include face painting, petting pen with lots of new baby animals, Benedict VFD fire engine and the Easter Bunny.  Food , crafts, and other merchandise will be available for sale.  9:00 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Calvert Co. Parks/Rec Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Hallowing Pt Park
Bring a picnic lunch.  Don’t forget the camera - the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance. All prizes must be claimed immediately following your age group’s hunt. Ages 3-5  1:30p.m.  Ages 6-8 2:00 pm   Ages 9-12  2:30

New & Noteworthy:  Calvert County Public Schools Open Registration for Pre-Kindergarten     

Calvert County Public Schools is now accepting applications for the 2012-2013 school year. The pre-kindergarten program was developed by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) to meet the needs of low income students who may not have the readiness skills needed to be successful in school.  Students are selected based on the criteria and guidelines set by MSDE and Calvert County Public Schools.  Children must be four years old by September 1, 2012, to be considered for the pre-kindergarten program and meet one of the following criteria.
